Yikes, where to begin.
I was an athlete in college, and you have a lot of girls throw themselves at you (clete chasers) if they know that you play a sport. It was no different with my buddies. We always had a groupie (clete chaser) hanging on somebody. You could never just say "I'm outta here fellas, gonna go home and have some unprotected sex with a clete chasing whore bag." Because the groupie girls would hear it. We always came up with nicknames for a lot of things, so that we could talk in front of them.
"Check out that AGAT."
"10-80-10".
"There's a ton of box in here tonight."
Etc.
All shit that had some kind of an inside story behind it so we all knew what was going on.
Bars close at 1:45am in Gainesville, so there is always an after party somewhere.
"What are we doing after this?"
"Pool party at _______________."
"Who's going?"
Always 1 or 2 missing.
"He cant go, he's gonna slay some box."
Nobody ever called anybody a "boxslayer". It was always "he's gonna slay box", "let's go to the bar, check out some box." "check out that skirt"
Slay some box kind of evolved from "beat it up", etc.
Knock it out and move on to the next one. Slay it. "Slay on Slayer."
Boxslayer was always funnier than Boxcutter for some reason. Boxslayer implies a sword, boxcutter implies a nub, like this mini switch blade boxcutter things.
I was changing my aim screen name one day, and I was sitting in my room and a bunch of my buddies were hanging out, and I was like what should my screen name be? and we started naming a bunch of shit...somehow boxslayer came up...we all cracked up....and that was it.
So I like to keep shit consistent...so when I signed up for these message boards, I used the same name.
